Abstract:

Colchicine is an alkaloid of the earliest studies, and is an important drug intermediate with wide application prospect . The article summarizes the progress in plant sources, extraction method, pharmacological action and agricultural application of colchicine in the past years and provides reference for the utilization of colchicine.
