Abstract:
During corm development in vitro and in vivo, corm size, carbohydrates and endogenous hormones were determined. Similar changes of carbohydrates occurred in the corms in vitro and in vivo. It’s endogenous hormones that regulated morphological differentiation. The increase of IAA/(Z+ZR) ratio enhanced the stem enlargement and starch accumulation. High IAA/(Z+ZR) ratio, high contents of IAA and ABA, as well as longer corm growth period resulted in bigger corm size and higher starch content in corms in vivo.
