Abstract:

Abstract: A seven-year long-term experiment was conducted to study the effect of potassium fertilizer application on rice growth in yellow sandy land. The results showed that potassium application based on the use of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer plus organic fertilizer had a yield-increasing effect both on the early and the late rice. On the current fertilization rate, K supply capacity in the soil was difficult to improve by the single application of potassium fertilizer or organic fertilizer. Mixed application of organic and inorganic fertilizer is an effective method to maintain and elevate the K level in the soil. During the rice growth period, the K content in the flooded layer increased with K application increasing, so the fertilizer-water management should be strengthened in the early stage to prevent the loss of K.
