Abstract:

Abstract: Difference in chalkiness degree of the grains in a rice panicle under nitrogens and densities were studied using medium japonica rice Wuyujing 3 as materials. The main results were as follows: All primary branches on a panicle were evenly divided into three parts of the upper, middle and basal. the order of chalkiness degree on the grain branch was the upper parts <the middle parts < the basal parts. The chalkiness degree on first panicle branch was less than secondary branch. On the primary branch the chalkiness degree of the grain 2、3、4 was higher than the grain 1、6、5. The level of grain chalkiness degree was more complex in grain different position. With the increased level of nitrogen fertilizer, the grain chalkiness degree was increased on the primary branch and the second branch of the upper parts. Among these positiones, the chalkiness degree of first grain was significantly increased. The experment was showed that densities and nitrogens have an interaction effect. Under high nitrogen fertilizer, the grain chalkiness degree was increased with the densities increasing.
