Abstract:

The dry seeds of rice were carried by recoverable satellite for space mutation,after recovery,the seeds were sowed on the earth and the character heredity and variation of their progenies were observed,the results indicated that the filled grain percent of test cross progenies, which come from 11 mutant lines of three lines restoring rice test with 6 three lines sterile rice of different types of cytoplasmic and genotype, had changed a great deal. The results by two factors variance analysis indicated that there existed significant difference among filled grain percent of test cross progenies of different mutant lines. The restoring abilities of restorer lines to sterile lines had changed to certain extent by space mutation and this change had two trends.At the same time, main economic and agronomic characters of test cross progenies changed to a certain extent,and some of these changes had significant difference with CK.All of these indicated that it is possible to breed new restorer lines by spaceflight breeding.
