Abstract:

Ecological footprint is a important theory and approach to estimate the sustainable development status on different areas. The status of research on different industries based on ecological footprint approach in China is analyzed and some problems such as low research precision，half－baked research contents，single research method are pointed out. Some directions and suggestions on how to improve the research of sustainable assessment based on ecological footprint approach are provided.
