Abstract:

RP-HPLC was used to study the varation of the effective componts of Phellodendron (berberine, palmatine, jatrorrhizine) in different germplasm (Beijing, north-east) and growths years.Aiming to provide the basis for scientifically determining the best harvest period of Phellodendron, and protecting the resources. Method: A Alltima HP C18 column （250×4.6mm，5μm）was used, and the mobile phase consist of acetonitrile -0.1% phosphoric acid (40:60 contain 0.1% SDS) with the flow rate of 1.0ml/min, and 25℃column temperature, detective wavelength was 345nm. Results show that the content of the Berberine in beijing germplasm of more than two years and Northeast germplasm (Jilin Tonghua) of more than nine years can achieve the requirements of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Conclusion: the alkaloids content and the trends are different in different germplasm and years of growth of Phellodendron.
