Abstract:

Oxysterol-binding proteins-related proteins(ORPs) is a kind of conserved family proteins widely distributed in eukaryotes. These proteins appear to have distinct but overlapping functions in lipid biosynthesis and intracellular sterol transportation, homeostasis, as well as cell signaling. Here we mainly review the structure character and functions of members of this family (mainly on OSH of yeast and ORPs of mammals).
