Abstract:

Anemone form is pretty special in Paeonia flower form category. The investigation and classification of anemone-form herbaceous peonies from Shandong province was carried out in order to promote identification, utilization and protection of this type peonies. The results showed that there existed 28 popular anemone-form cultivars, among which two cultivars are of prolification. On the basis of the investigation and recording, keys were compiled using comparative morphology and detailed morphological character of the cultivars was described. The results not only provide clear guide for identifying different cultivars with anemone form, but also provide a reference to the classification of other cultivars.
