Abstract:

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of By-product of Flue Gas Desulphurization(BFGD) application on Wolfberry’s growth and Heavy Metals Concentration. The results showed that:Applying BFGD can effectively improve the germination and survival rate of Wolfberry, the effect of 1.0 ton/acre is better than 2.0 ton/acre,the germination was 81.5%,the survival rate reached 80.8%. The content of heavy metals in soils did not exceed the secondary standard of “soil environmental quality standard”,GB156-1995year;The contents of heavy metals of Wolfberry’s fruit and leaf in each treatment also are in line with the national standard of“contaminants in food limited”,GB2762-2005.so we can concluded that use BFGD to ameliorating saline-sodic soil is safe and feasible.
