The dynamic change and simulation and prediction of sensitivity of the Karst rocky desertification of Guizhou

Abstract:

Abstract: Karst rocky desertification can be defined as follows: it is the process of land degradation involving serious soil erosion, extensive exposure of basement rocks, drastic decrease of land productivity and the appearance of a desert-like landscape of land surface which is under irrational social economic activitis of human beings in the fragile Karst environment in Subtropical Zone. The sensitivity evaluation of rocky desertification is for the purpose of the recognition of the region which is liable to cause rocky desertification and evaluating the sensitive degree of rocky desertification upon human activitis. And it is to analyze the regional distributive laws of the sensitivity of rocky desertification and explicit the regional area which is liable to cause and the possible degree according to the formation mechanism of rocky desertification. In this study, the combined qualitative and quantitative meathod is selected to investigate the sensitivity of rocky desertification of Guizhou Province in 1962 and 2000.
