Abstract:

The direct contact activities of eleven Propyl-phenol against the adults and eggs of Tetranychus cinnabarinus and oviposition inhibition against female adult mites were examined under the laboratory condition by slide-dip and leaf-dip method, respectively. The results showed that thyme, carvacrol, eugenol and 3-methyl-4-isopropyl phenol had strong contact effect against Tetranychus cinnabarinus that their correct mortality rates were above 90% after 24 h. Thyme had obvious effect on the egg hatch of T. cinnabarinus, the rate of egg hatch were only 16.22%，which is significantly lower than those of the control and other treatments.Thyme, carvacrol and eugenol had significant oviposition inhibition activity against T. cinnabarinus female adults, the rates of oviposition inhibition were above 80%.
