Abstract: 10 major quantitative traits of 12 Coix germplasms from different regions were analysed through path and principal component analysis. The results showed growth period are highly significant positive correlation with plant height, stem floret number, section number and grain weight, but highly significant negative correlation with the number of florets and grains per spike. The negative effects are greater than positive effects in those varieties with long growth period. Growth period, the floret number of main stem and seed setting rates are the main factor affecting yield per plant, and floret number of main stem made the greatest contribution.
