Abstract: Abstract: This paper presents a review of the research and development for comprehensive utilization of bagasse in the last two decades, mainly expounds to use bagasse as the festocks for ruminants feed manufacture, edible fungi cultivation, extracting functional food from, biological gasification and liquefaction, development of high performance adsorption material, green solvent pulping and value adding utilization of solvent extracted lignin, production of high-density fiberboard and thermal chemical liquefaction, gasification and indirect liquefaction by Fischer-Tropsch reaction. On the base of these situations, a future development view of bagasse refining is prospected.
