Abstract:

Physical and chemical characteristics of seed-coating fertilizers were studied by means of determining the pH values, coating uniformity rates, coating off rates, nutrient initial-release ratios, nutrient micro-release ratios, nutrient accumulation-release curves of early and late rice seed-coating fertilizers, and observing the membrane structures of seed-coating fertilizers and the surface structures of the coated and uncoated rice seeds by SEM. Results showed that the pH values of early and late seed-coating fertilizers were 5～6, coating uniformity rates＞96%, coating off rates＜6.5%, nutrient initial-release ratios＜14%, nutrient micro-release ratios＜2%, and the nutrient accumulation-release curves were S-shape.These results indicated the physical and chemical properties of seed-coating fertilizers were stable, and the effects of coating and nutrient slow-release were good.
