Abstract：The development of gardening, like cities and architecture, with a strong spirit of the times, today the development of the outstanding performance of Chinese garden, is the West design continuing infiltration in china, in the process, the style types and differences of east and Western analysis is particularly prominent. However, in the context of today, globalization seems to have been inevitable, but because of differences in Western history, culture and understanding with Chinese there is a problem of uncoordinated in the overall style of garden design and landscape elements,resulting more confusion in today garden design. This paper summarized the east and western classical garden style and landscape architecture, based on landscape design elements for the current one - landscape architecture, essay on the problems, to analyze from various angles how it coordination with the overall style of the garden, hoping to provide some reference for today garden design.
