Abstract:

In order to master the difference in growth strategy of Larix principis-rupprechtii and Picea, and provide the theory basis for mixed forests management, with seedlings cultivation experiment under manual control conditions, this paper studied the growth performance in the seedling stage of 2 species under different nitrogen concentrations, and analyzed the differences of height growth, basal diameter growth, tatal biomass and biomass allocation. The results showed that: the growth in seedling stage of 2 species with variation of nitrogen concentrations had significant differences, the response tendency were similar, and the nitrogen utilization also had significant differences; the growth index in seedling stage of Larix principis-rupprechtii were higher than that of Picea, especially the height of seedling and single biomass. Therefore, Larix principi-rupprechtii was more sensitive to microenvironment heterogeneity and had distinct advantages in the growth of seedling stage supported by utilizing land environment resources than Picea.
