Abstract: It is shown through accelerated aging tests that among all materials D1308, D1311 with null- LOX-1, LOX-2 and LOX-3 have the highest germination ratio and the lowest aging index ;wanjian2090 and D1305 with null- LOX-1、LOX-2 are more storageble than those with null- LOX-2, LOX-3 and those with null- LOX-2 or null- LOX-3; D1304, D1312 with null- LOX-2, LOX-3 are not apparently more storageble than those with null- LOX-2 or null- LOX-3.It indicates the effects of null- LOX-1 are more profound than those of null- LOX-2 or null- LOX-3. The materials lacking single or compound lipoxygenase have much better storage character than those common ones .The lacking of lipoxygenase can stave the rice from deteriation effectively and the lacking of LOX-1 cut off or stave the lipid superoxidation which are triggered by LOX-2 and LOX-3.Above all LOX-1 is probably the key gene responsible for the long life span of rice grains.
