Study on monitoring of low-temperature in winter based on GIS technology in Fujian

Abstract:

Abstract: In order to reduce the influence which the winter low temperature for the agriculture, the study based on the 1:250000 Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data and statistical data of the lowest temperature of 15 automatic weather stations in Fujian Province, the geographic mathematical model was established depending on the connections of factors such as the lowest temperature, latitude, longitude, altitude, and was used to simulate the fine distribution of lowest temperature in 4 months in winter from 2009 to 2010. The results showed that the lowest temperature was well simulated introduced the geographic factors and the data of the automatic weather stations. Moreover, the monitor requirements was meted. With the increase of the longitude or the decrease of the latitude, altitude, the value of the month minimum temperature simulation was increased. Finally, the simulated results of low temperature matched with actual situation substantially by means of model validation.
