Heterosis and Path Analysis for Yield Component Factor of Aromatic Hybrid Rice

Abstract:

Using 4 aromatic CMS line and 9 restoring line uncompleted hybrid for 21 varieties. The results showed that analysis of yield component heterosis: number of grains per panicle have stronger positive heterosis, seed setting percentage have negative heterosis. The results showed that path analysis: the effect between yield and yield component factor, effective panicle (1.0193) > number of grains per panicle (0.9260) > seed setting percentage (0.7860) >1000 grain weight (0.5450). So in hybrid aromatic rice breeding, we should improve seed setting percentage on ensuring the base of effective panicle.
