Abstract:

To get the relationship between central structure of Ni-superoxide dismutase and scavenging activity to superoxide anion, three Ni-SOD mimics, Ni(bim)2(gly)2 (1), Ni(bim)3(L-asp) (2) and Ni(bim)3 (L-glu) (3) were synthesized and characterized by element analysis，molar conductivity，infrared absorption spectrum and electronic absorption spectrum. The SOD-like activities of the mimics above have been determined by nitroblue tetragolium (NBT)-illumination method, and the IC50 values of mimics 1-3 are 0.25、0.25 and 0.38μmol/L, respectively. It shows that the complexes possess high SOD-like activity. The result indicates that the SOD mimics will be used as the regulators of plant’s growth against the adversity stresses.
