Abstract:

This study summarized cotton industry is faced with several disadvantages that competitiveness decreased immensely, and analyzes the impact of bottleneck problem on cotton industry, and then proposes long-term and mid-term technological needs of ‘12?5’ item, which includes a set of ideas from basic of application, technology of application, products and variety, standards of technology, and system integration to extension and application. It also discusses twelve research directions and goals in four fields that consists of variety technology and breeding, cultivation technique and input, plant protection and input, monitoring and early warning information platform, etc.
