Abstract:

Aimed to find out the courses of forest damage induced by super rainstorm, taking the most serious-damaged Nanping city as an example, the author concentrated on characteristics, development conditions and formation causes of forest damage, and recommended countermeasures for forest restoration. It was found that forest damage was related to soil instability under the action of super rainstorm and distributed mainly along valley and road with >25° slope and shallow roots in strong rainfall area. The main courses of forest damage were granite weathered soil, persistent super rainstorm, trees with shallow roots, disturbance of human and people’s misunderstanding of damage. Finally, the restoration countermeasures were recommended based on this work, which included cleaning blow-down trees, planting liana and trees with deep roots and risking zoning evaluation of forest.
