Abstract:

Banana (plantain) is the world's major fruit and food crops but production is threatened by increasing virulent forms of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense. So far, there was not effective method to control it. And the pathogenic mechanism still understood little. This paper reviewed the interaction process between host plant and Fusarium oxysporum, which included the influence of Fusarium oxysporum growth by the host of secretions in the invading prophase, and infection process. Besides, it also showed the pathotoxin of Fusarium, include the main toxin composition of Fusarium oxysporum, and the mechanism research of Fusarium oxysporum toxin, as well as pathogenic genes of Fusarium oxysporum. The article attempted to make a systematical view on pathogenesis of fusarium wilt of banana, which would helpful for the set of new prevention method.
