Abstract:

In order to clarity the utilization potential of flue-cured tobacco cytoplasmic male sterile line in hybrid vigor, twelve hybrids crossed among 3 cytoplasmic male sterile lines and 4 flue-cured tobacco varieties were used to determine the genetic effects in economic characters including yield, production value, average price, high class tobacco ratio, high and middle class tobacco ratio and tobacco class index. The results showed that the 6 economic traits all had high broad heritability and low narrow heritability, and mainly controlled by genetic variance in phynotypic variance. Dominant effect and interaction of dominance and environment were the main genetic effects of the 6 economic characters, and the dominant effects were distinctly larger than the additive ones. The dominant effects of economic traits in parents could highly perform in their hybrid F1. Therefore, the parents with high dominant effects in economic traits had lager utilization potential in heterosis. Genetic analysis indicated the new developed 3 cytoplasmic male sterile lines, MsYZ203-6, MsYZ216-1and MsYZ206-9, had great heterosis in economic traits.
