Abstract: In order to know the development and market prospect of Japanese Hemerocauis hybrida varieties, 23 varieties of H. hybrida from Japan were selected as the test materials and the morphological indexes such as flower color, flower type and blossoming characteristics were analyzed. The results showed that the tested varieties were all early florescent and evergreen species. The flower type was variable and the flower color was very rich, and red, orange, yellow and purple were the main colors. Among the varieties, there were significant differences in the index of petal size, length, width, the ratio of length to width, flower stalk height, etc. In application, the corresponding varieties of Japanese H. hybrida should be chosen for reproduction and production, considering the practical need at the same time.
