The Contact Toxicity of Arsenic to Earthworms and Regulatory Effect of Selenium

摘要:

为探究重金属砷(As)对蚯蚓的滤纸接触急性毒性及硒(Se)的调节效果,将赤子爱胜蚓(Eisenia fetida)在不同Se (IV)浓度的基质(滤纸和土壤)中暴露适应后再进行As (V)的滤纸接触法急性毒性试验。结果表明:蚯蚓直接暴露于As染毒滤纸上的24、48 h的半致死浓度(LC50)分别为31.33、12.30 μg/cm2;蚯蚓在Se浓度为0.5 μg/cm2的湿润滤纸上适应6 h后,As对其的LC50分别为30.20 μg/cm2 (24 h)和15.85 μg/cm2 (48 h);蚯蚓在Se浓度为6、12 mg/kg的土壤中适应一周后,As对其的LC50分别为34.67~35.48 μg/cm2 (24 h)和18.62~21.88 μg/cm2 (48 h)。蚯蚓经含Se滤纸和土壤适应后在48 h的LC50有所升高,说明Se能够在一定程度上提高蚯蚓短时间内对As的耐受能力。本研究为缓解土壤生物所受污染胁迫提供了新的研究思路与方法。

Abstract:

To investigate the acute filter paper contact toxicity of heavy metal arsenic (As) to earthworms and the regulatory effect of selenium (Se), Eisenia fetida was exposed to two media (filter paper and soil) with different concentrations of Se, and then the acute toxicity test of As was conducted by filter paper contact method. The results showed that the half lethal concentrations (LC50) on E. fetida directly exposed to As (V) contaminated filter paper for 24 and 48 h were 31.33 and 12.30 μg/cm2, respectively. After a 6 h period of adaptation on wet filter paper with Se concentration of 0.5 μg/cm2, the LC50 of As on E. fetida were 30.20 (24 h) and 15.85 μg/cm2 (48 h), respectively. After adapting to soil with Se concentrations of 6 and 12 mg/kg for one week, the LC50 of As to earthworms were 34.67-35.48 μg/cm2 (24 h) and 18.62-21.88 μg/cm2 (48 h), respectively. In conclusion, the pre-exposure of earthworms in Se-containing filter paper and soil both stimulated the improvement of LC50 values at 48 h, indicating that Se can improve the ability of earthworms to tolerate As stress during short exposure periods. This study provides new research ideas and methods for alleviating heavy metal pollution stress on soil biota.
