Abstract: With the forestry information construction, more and more data are collected by the forest department. At present, 5TB data accumulated must be realized standardization management for further research and application. This paper presents that it is necessary to set up the Guangdong forest data center. Moreover, objective, principle, software and hardware construction of this center are analyzed, and then some problems during construction are discussed. Finally, the meaning of the Guangdong Forest Data center construction is summarized.
