Abstract: In order to keep current character of the land use datum, the land use information of Beijing city is modified after the foundation of database every year. Based on the accurate localization function of GPS and good function and background data of GIS, the database of the land use in Beijing was modified using SPOT-5 remote sensing image as the data source. This method showed off the advantage of the aviation remote sensing technology. Supported by the locating the detected change areas of GPS and the land use database, land resource dynamic monitoring and the land use database upgrading were finished using GIS integrated data in Beijing.
