Abstract:

The overall objective of this research was to promote the industrialization of China's grass seed production,greatly enhance the yield and quality of China's per unit area and ecological forage grass seed, and promote the development of grass seed industry by regional test and demonstration.Yield reasearch of 14 Lolium multiflorum Lam varieties was conducted.The research includes observation on phenophase and determination on fresh and dry forage yield and study about cutting production of different vavieties.The 14 varieties in the region differed obviously in every respect.The measured datum of the 14 varieties showed that Diamond T , Gulf Tetragold were more prominent that the growth potential and the quantity of production were superior to other varieties.Therefore the most suitable varieties grown in our region were Dimond T,Gulf and Tetragold.
