Abstract:

In order to prevent and control bird strikes and guarantee the security of flights, a 12-month survey on the birds around Bailian airport of Liuzhou was conducted, with belt-transect method and sampling method. The results showed that the birds perching around the Bailian airport were 93 species of 32 families, which brought great threats in the conical section to the airport’s security. The dangerous species of birds were Egretta garzetta, Elanus caeruleus, Falco tinnunculus, Hirundo rustica, Hirundo daurica, Alauda gulgula, and so on. Based on the habits and habitats of these species, the author provided some efficient measures or patterns for ecological improvement and bird-driving.
