Abstract:

Resistant starch has a variety of important physiological functions on human body. The inheritance of the grain resistant starch content was investigated by a 62 diallel design and 6 combinations’ reciprocal cross in order to obtain the rice hybrids with high resistant starch content. The results showed that: Resistant starch content was influenced by additive, non-additive effects and the cytoplasm effect, and mainly by additive effects. The general combining ability (GCA) effect was varied between varieties. ‘Jiangtangdao1’ and ‘Bing9331’ showed high positive general combining ability effects, and the general combining ability effect values were 0.303 and 0.101 respectively. The others showed negative general combining ability effects. The expression of parental resistant starch content was obviously correlated with specific combining ability effects, but was significantly correlated with the general combining ability effects and the expression of F1 hybrid, indicated that the parental value could be used to forecast the heterosis in hybrid rice.
