Abstract:

Straw returning is an important way for effectively using the straw resources. Straw returning has great effects on soil structure and nutrient situation, greenhouse gas emission and crop yield. In order to make full use of straw resources, and discusses the straw utility, this paper summarizes the returning techniques, and the effects of straw returning on soil characteristics, rice yield, grain quality and greenhouse gas emission. The paper also gives advice on the future research on extensive straw returning in terms of simplified cultivation with straw returning, the environmental effect of straw returning under different rice cultivation models and the effect of different crops straw returning, hoping to provide a theoretical basis for rational utilization of crop straws, improving the yield and quality of rice, and protecting the environment.
