Abstract:

In order to study diosgenin to the soil mierobe and enzyme activity, the effect of diosgenin on enzyme activities in soil and microbial populations was investigated in a microcosm mimicking soil ecosystem. The results showed that, the diosgenin to the catalase activity had the varying stimulation degree, to the sucrase activity were inhibited action, and the inhibitory action, recovered function was slowly, at low concentrations (40 mg/kg) diosgenin processing to the bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes had the different stimulation. But high concentration (80 mg/kg) had the inhibited action. Regarding to the nitrifying bacteria, no matter was the low concentrations or the high concentrations all had the inhibited action, and had a high positive correlation between the inhibition and the diosgenin concentrations.
