Abstract:

The variable weight theory based on balanced function was introduced, in which the constant weights was modified to get the variable weights, which would embody evaluation index weights more authenticity, and make the results of the cultivated land fertility evaluation more scientific. Based on the geographic information system(GIS), this research adopts analytic hierarchy process and variable weight theory to identify the ultimate weight of several affected factors and introduces fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to synthetically evaluate the cultivated land fertility of Gaozhou city automatically and quantitatively and also analyses its space distribution. The results suggest that 58505.0278hm2 cultivated land, the fertility of grade first to eighth account for 3.62%, 18.27%, 33.15%, 26.96%, 13.66%, 3.29%, 0.81% and 0.24%, respectively, which are in line with the local situation of the city. This result can not only be applied to Gaozhou agricultural production, but also contribute a beneficial exploration for carrying out studies about the evaluation of the cultivated land fertility of hilly regions of south China as well.
