Abstract:

This paper described the advantage of Geographic Information System in spatial analysis and processing, reviewed the new developments in landscape planning because of GIS, pointed out that the functionality of GIS for different landscape-scale application is important for better play the role of GIS. This paper also analyzed the advantages of application of GIS in landscape planning, compared the application effect of GIS in landscape detail and spatial scales, in spaces and neighborhood scales, as well as in community and regional scale, summarized the application effect of GIS, pointed out a new direction of 3D GIS application in landscape planning.
