Abstract:
Hylobitelus xiaoi Larvae. was a kind of new forest vermin pest breaking out seriously in the southern parts of China. In order to clearly know its regular life in the city of Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Nationality Autonomous Region, master the effective preventing methods, and offer scientific measures to comprehensively curb the Hylobitelus xiaoi Larvae., the author learned the biologist and ecologist characteristics of Hylobitelus xiaoi Larvae. through regularly observing and analyzed the forest vermin pests and comparably analyzed the survey of the samples got from the forest. The results showed that one generation of Hylobitelus xiaoi Larvae. happens every two years in Liuzhou. The results showed that their appearance was somewhat related to the host, forest types, the direction of slope, the location of slope, site conditions and the coverage of inland forest. By using the manmade excavation to kill the younger larvae, the density of larvae population would be reduced by 85.29% compared with the same period in the following year. The preventing and controlling effects of moth road injection Thiacloprid and Omethoate pharmacy were respectively up to93.6% and 94.6%. The harm rate of the plant in the following year would reduced 3.33% by cleaning the miscellaneous irrigation around the host and using the ecological measures to control the fallen leaves and deadwood. According to the characteristics of the host, the victims of wetland pine would be cleaned in the way of manmade excavation to kill the younger larvae and the victims of Masson pine would be injected the pharmacy in combination of the cleaning measures. Both of them were effective ways to control the harm of Hylobitelus xiaoi larvae..
