Abstract: To better understand the fishery resources in Tibet, to effectively protect the rare and endangered cold -water fish resources, and also to further understand the difficulties faced by the fisheries resources in the rational exploitation and protect of utilization. This study made a systematic analysis of the research progress of the fishery resources in Tibet and showed that Tibet has abundant water resources, but the aquatic industry lads behind, resource utilization was extremely limited, endangered species had not been timely protected. It was very difficult to promote popularity of the aquatic industry in Tibet because of the weak infrastructure construction and a serious lack of relevant technical staff. In fact, the aquatic industry here better remains basically a bland. So it was both important and necessary to establish monitoring network based on the fishery resources of plateau water resources systems and proposed initial ideas for further investigation of the water resources.
