Research Progress of Insect Diversity and Protection in Wetland

Abstract

Abstract: In order to protect insect diversity on wetland in China and reasonably utilize wetland resource, we reviewed the research progress of the insect diversity and wetland protection at home and abroad in the recent 20 years. We found that the existing researches focused on plants and vertebrates, and insects on wetland research were scarcer, various types of group research were not balanced. We suggested that wetland insects would be investigated as soon as possible to accumulate the species diversity data of wetland insects, and provide a scientific basis for the insect species conservation in ecological system by the means of long-term monitoring and management of the wetland.
