Abstract: In order to identify the optimum period and number of removing the field inapplicability and fresh leaves, and further optimum tobacco structure and promote the effective supply ability of high quality tobacco. In this paper, the direct-viewing analysis of orthogonal experiment design method was employed to study the influence of different period and number of removing bottom and top leaves on economic character. The results showed that the period of removing the top leaves was the main factor for fine tobacco ratio, high middle tobacco ratio, mean price and output value; the number of removing bottom leaves was the main factor for yield; every treatments improved the economic characters of flue-cured tobacco in some extent and the treat 3 and the treat 5 were the best.
