Abstract: In order to study the treatment effect of Chinese herbs to skin ulcer syndrome in sea cucumber. The bacteria static effect of 42 kinds of Chinese herbs and 9 kinds of herb compounds were determined in vitro by bacterio static circle and improved micro dilution procedure. This work conducted as the herbs were against one of causative pathogens (Shewanella marisflavi) of skin ulcer syndrome in sea cucumber Apostichopusjaponicus. The results illustrated that 8 kinds of Chinese herbs (Terminaliachebuia, gallnut, Cortex Moutan, Pericarpium Granati, Rosa laevigata, sanguisorba, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae and clove) had better bacteria static effect on the pathogen. Nine herbal compounds were composed by 4 herbs, the bacterio static effect of 9 compounds enhanced remarkably than single herbs, and the lowest MIC was 0.547 mg/mL. According to the bacterio static effects, the best ratio of the compounds was determined as Terminaliachebuia: Pericarpiumgranati:Radix salviae miltiorrhizae:clove=2:1:1:1.
