Abstract: In this experiment, the effects of seeding time on the yield, growth duration and yield component were studied with ‘Liangyou 6326’ and ‘Nanjing 44’ as materials. With the delay of sowing date, birth process was postponed, and whole growth period of these two kinds of rice were shortened; the sowing date had no significant influence on the yield components of ‘Nanjing 44’,but the effective panicles of ‘Liangyou 6326’ were different between different sowing date (sig=0.008, P<0.05). The effective panicles of ‘Liangyou 6326’, the effective panicles and the grain numbers per spike of ‘Nanjing 44’ all had significant correlation with yield, with their sig value less than 0.05. In addition, the yield of ‘Liangyou 6326’ was higher than that of ‘Nanjing 44’. The comprehensive evaluation showed that this area should plant these two kinds of rice early.
