Abstract: Comparative analysis of cultivated land of farmers in Kaijiang County land use of cost-benefit, using cost-benefit analysis, research the farmers’ will of cultivated land protection in land transference to make targeted recommendations for cultivated land protection in Kaijiang County. Research results showed that, in land transferring farmers' annual financial compensation was 15930 yuan per hectare in Kaijiang County. Based on the minimum wage 450 yuan per month in Kaijiang County in 2007, we could calculate the minimum wage was 52085 yuan per hectare of arable land. It clarified farmers in land transferring receive economic compensation far less than the minimum wage standards of Kaijiang County. This might be the cause of farmers in land transferring reluctant to farm. While the conversion into household development large-scale pig, the acquisition of economic benefit was the highest, but this behavior was bad for protecting farmland. So increasing farmer's economic compensation appropriately and enhancing the supervision of cultivated land are inevitable to protect cultivated land.
