Sero-epidemiological survey on Paratuberculosis prevalence of Sika Deer in JiLin province

Abstract: Abstract: The aim was to survey the paratuberculosis infection status on sika deer in Jilin Province 2012. 630 serum samples of sika deer were selected from 4 deer breeding places behalves Jilin Province, and the method ELISA was used to survey the deer paratuberculosis. The positive rate was 18.73 % in mycobacterium paratuberculosis antibody detection of deer serum in Jilin Province, in which the highest positive rate was 25% in Tonghua, and the lowest rate was 11.86 % in Siping. In terms of age and gender statistic pairwise comparison analysis for sika deer found that, young deer, bred deer and adult deer had significant differences((P<0.05), but there was no significant differences between bred deer and adult deer(P>0.05). The sika deer paratuberculosis infection in a serious level, which remind the sika deer breeders and the relevant departments, should be high degree of attach importance to the work of prevention and control of the sika deer paratuberculosis.
