Abstract: Phytoremediation is a technique using plants to remediation heavy metal contaminants from soils has become a topic problem in current research. Domestic researchers have published a number of literature review about remediation technologies of soil contaminated by heavy metals, but the comprehensive literature review that simply phytoremediation for heavy metal contaminated soil, especially plants after harvest disposal technology is very few. We reviewed the connotation, composition, the advantages and disadvantages of phytoremediation, the concept, research overview about hyperaccumulator and technique for disposal of phytoremediting plants after harvest, indicate that the plant mining technology may become the focus of further research of the scientists ,and phytoremediation technology development prospects in the future.
