Abstract: To solve problems of tobacco leaf's mildew or poor quality which are caused by adverse natural conditions during the process of air-curing, for two consecutive years in 2011-2012, some experiences about how to control temperature and humidity have been taken in burley tobacco district in Wanzhou, in order to influence burley tobacco's air-curing quantity and quality. The results of the research showed that the warming wet-dry room can raise the temperature of the room about 2-5℃. This had four benefits. First, it can lower the relative humidity to a more appropriate range and shorten the time of drying tobacco for 7 to 10 days. Second, it helped improve the air-curing tobacco in both the quantity and quality of aroma, odor, aftertaste, etc. Third, the proportion of upper level tobacco increased 10.22 percent on the average. Forth, output value had raised 5474.33 yuan/hm^2.
