Abstract: The high altitude in Shilin area of Yunnan has a negative impact on the growth rate of flue-cured tobacco, during its early period of entire growth cycle. Research tests are done to investigate measures to improve the growth and development of flue-cured tobacco. The tests are based on the impacts of different growth regulators and fertilization on the flue-cured tobacco of on-farm period, agriculture properties as well as economic character. Specifically, in term of on-farm period, the approach of salicylic acid+ ABT+ nutrition soil+ HA has set the resettling stage and vigorous growing stage of tobacco plantlet ahead by 4 days. As the agronomic traits, the plant height and the stem girth of the samples processed by the same approach were significantly better than those in the check experiment. It was evident that the economics of control sample was better than check sample on production, output value, proportion of high-quality and fine tobacco. Therefore, the proposed experimental approach will increase the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco in the local area.
