Abstract: The aim was to compare the strength of allelopathy of Panax notoginseng aqueous extracts through different parts, different concentrations and different growth years, and select suitable plants that could rotate Panax notoginseng. Wheat, corn and rape was selected as receptors, the allelopathy of Panax notoginseng aqueous extracts on seed germination and seedling growth was compared with orthogonal test on these three seeds. (1) Aqueous extracts of various parts of Panax notoginseng inhibited seed germination and seedling growth of wheat, rape. (2) Panax notoginseng aqueous extracts in low concentrations could promote seed germination and seedling growth, but inhibit in high concentrations. (3) Allelopathies of Panax notoginseng aqueous extracts of different growth years and different parts on recipient plants were also significant differences. In all test factors, different concentrations of Panax notoginseng aqueous extracts had the most significant impact on recipient plants. Corn was the best suited plants that could rotate Panax notoginseng in three recipient plants, and it might be relate to the strong tolerance of corn on allelopathy of Panax notoginseng.
