Abstract: Three treating methods, single-eyed sett coating, two-eyed sett coating and two-eyed sett soaking, combined with seed cane planting were applied to evaluate the control effects of 28.7% Metalaxyl- M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS pineapple disease in sugarcane. The results showed that both two- eyed sett coating and two- eyed sett soaking of 28.7% Metalaxyl- M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS could effectively control pineapple disease of sugarcane. The control effects of 28.7% Metalaxyl-M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS two- eyed sett coating with treating doses of 942- 1605 mL/hm2 and 28.7% Metalaxyl- M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS two-eyed sett soaking with treating doses of 1000-1500 fold solutions were 58.69%-61.20% and 51.51%-54.70% respectively, which were significantly superior to the effect of the control fungicide 50% carbendazim WP. The observation also suggested that 28.7% Metalaxyl-M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS was safe to sugarcane. In cane- growing regions with high incidence rate of pineapple disease, based on the production practice, it could select 28.7% Metalaxyl-M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS two-eyed sett coating with treating dose of 942 mL/hm2 or 28.7% Metalaxyl-M·fludioxonil·thiamethoxam FS two-eyed sett soaking with treating dose of 1500 fold solution to effectively control pineapple disease.
