Research Advances on Identification and Molecular Evolution of Trichinella Species

Abstract: This paper describes the discovery, identification and evolution of Trichinella species, and retrospects the species identyfication method, phylogenesis, geograhpic distribution and taxonomic structure of Trichinella, in particular explaining the contribution of molecular biology and molecular genetics on species identyfication. With the development of science and technology, there are nine species in Trichinella, and three unclear genotypes.Therefore, this paper provides some informations of species identification and evolutionary relationships,clears and definites the relationships on the taxonomy, diagnostics, systematics, micro- and macroevolution, and the biogeographical and biohistorical reconstruction of the genus Trichinella, consequently laying the foundation of etiology, clinical diagnosis, disease control and prevention.
